Composed and arranged by Max for the album Promised Land, based on a 1987 session in the Terra Incognita loft in which Mark Twohy played fiddle, Katie Rauh played bass, and Max played guitar.

"We called the recording Beautiful Penguins because it reminded us of the music of the Penguin Café Orchestra. Our friend Sebastian Mendes had given us a tape of their music because he thought we sounded like them."
