"When a moment comes that changes your life forever, when time stands still and every minute counts, you see clearer and feel deeper than at any other time. After living through the earthquake that destroyed our home, my new roommate and I took solace in each other. Within a few months, I managed to get a key to a vacant warehouse where I set up an illegal studio and wrote this song, inspired by the Nigerian Yoruba Apala music of Alhadji Haruna Ishola."
