Yippees: Late 1960s and early 1970s anti-Vietnam war protests, social and political background notes

Yippees were few in number, but very visible, with colorful clothes and banners at peace demonstrations. The name "yippee" was invented I believe, by one Abbie Hoffman, who was a political youth leader against the Vietnam War and the establishment political support of that war.
