Experience the Chinese Communist dictatoship's censored version of Google search engine by the addition of &meta=cr%3DcountryCN at the end of the address line.

by James K. Sayre

You too can know the truncated shrunken web search results that are found on the Chinese Communist dictatoship's censored version of Google search engine.

1. go to google and search for "democracy"

2. when the results show up, go to the address line at the top of the Google page (the part that starts: http:// ... and add this phrase: &meta=cr%3DcountryCN on to the end of the address http:/ ... &meta=cr%3DcountryCN . Note: that I have left off any quotes to avoid any confusion (hopefully...).

3. repeat the google search for "democracy" and notice the smaller truncated results. Ah, censorship in action...

4. once you have primed this google search engine, you may substitute any other term or terms and search them.

5. when you shut down you computer and end your session, it will end your censored version of Google.

6. if you discover other country's censorship codes for use on Google or other search engines, please drop me a line at sayresayre@yahoo.com. Cheers, JKS.

End.
