Aging, slowing down (possibly):

Note: stopping natural aging is about as easy as stopping the tides of the oceans. Earlier fans of "life extension" or "longevity" placed their faith in finding the "Fountain of Youth." Spanish explorers of the New World searched long and hard for the fabled spring whose waters would make them young and healthy again. Navigator Juan Ponce de Leon (1460 - 1521) heard stories of such a miraculous spring from the Indians of Puerto Rico. They told him that it was located in the north in Bimini Island in the Bahamas. In 1513 he began his search for the Fountain of Youth in the Bahamas and Florida. He spent several years without ever finding the "Fountain of Youth." Modern searchers for longevity just have to do a keyword search on the Internet for "fountain of youth" to find hucksters happy to sell them many obscure and wonderful and expensive herbs and supplements. However, back in the real world, vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin E, alpha lipoic acid, beta-carotene, citrus bioflavonoids, co-enzyme Q-10, selenium and zinc may be of some use. Below are some herbs which may possibly slow the body's aging processes down. Also, see the entries for Immune System Support.
